Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2700 is beating Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro in internal testing, according to a surprising new leak. This development marks a major comeback for Samsung, which has been lagging behind Qualcomm in recent years.
The internal tests evaluated CPU, GPU, NPU, and overall power efficiency, with the Exynos 2700 outperforming both variants of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
In terms of CPU performance, the Exynos 2700 achieved a 19% higher multi-core score on Geekbench 6.5 compared to the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, and 9.5% higher than the Elite Gen 6 Pro.
The Exynos 2700 also held a 5% advantage over Qualcomm’s Pro variant in GPU performance at peak output.
Under a strict 2.5W power-limit test, the Exynos GPU scored 22% higher than the Pro and 24% higher than the non-Pro variant.
Additionally, the Exynos 2700 consumed 161mA compared to the 185mA drawn by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro—a roughly 12.7% drop in power consumption—during real-world battery simulation tests.
A competitive Exynos 2700 gives Samsung’s mobile division significant financial leverage, as Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon processors continue to rise in price.

By equipping more Galaxy devices with in-house Exynos chips, Samsung can cut manufacturing costs and protect its profit margins. They currently power roughly 16% to 18% of Samsung smartphones.
If these benchmark leaks translate to production devices, Samsung will likely expand Exynos-powered Galaxy S27 models to more regions, including Korea and Europe.
The fact that the Exynos 2700 is reportedly manufactured on Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 2nm Gate-All-Around (SF2P) node will also double as a vital marketing tool to attract third-party clients to Samsung’s semiconductor foundries.
