Good news Hallmark fans — two of your favorite actors are reuniting for an exciting new film.
On March 1, Lacey Chabert revealed that she will share the small screen with actor and longtime friend Will Kemp in a new Hallmark murder mystery that centers around ballroom dance. The duo, who worked together in 2019 on Love, Romance & Chocolate and in 2020 on Christmas Waltzwill star in The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tangoh, which they’re in the middle of shooting.
“I’m thrilled to be working with my good friend @iamwillkemp again on a new film for @hallmarkmovie 🎉,” she captioned her Instagram announcement, which featured a screenshot of an Entertainment Tonight article. “We are currently filming in Malta and having such a great time bringing this mystery to life! 💃.”
Reacting to Lacey’s heartfelt message, Will respond in the comments section: “❤️ 🕺🏻🕵🏻♀️ 🥳🎬🇲🇹 See you there partner.”
Unsurprisingly, once Hallmark fans saw the actress’ post, they couldn’t help but ecstatically comment on the pair’s upcoming endeavor.

According to ET, the whodunit flick will follow hard-hitting detective Constance Bailey, played by Lacey, as she immerses herself in the world of competitive ballroom dance. She enters the undercover scene after a high-profile CEO is murdered on the eve of a match. But she won’t be alone. Constance will receive help from a charismatic professional, played by Will, named Sebastian Moore.
Although Lacey and Will are both executive producers for the film, the idea behind this deadly drama originally came from Will.
“After the success of Christmas Waltzviewers have been clamoring for another film with this charismatic duo,” Elizabeth YostSenior Vice President of Programming and Development at Hallmark Media told ET. “When Will came to us with this fun spin on a whodunnit, we knew that it was the perfect opportunity to reunite him with Lacey.”
